KinderGym

KinderGym is Gymnastics Australia’s fundamental movement program  for children aged 0 – 5 years. Classes provide an environment for children to develop physical and cognitive skills in a fun and playful way, at their own rate through guided exploration. Packed with activities to develop gross and fine motor skills, music and rhythm, success, and challenges, KinderGym classes are designed to develop physical literacy in the whole child — socially, emotionally, cognitively, and physically.

Kindy Come & Play 0-5yrs, Monday (unstructured free play with parent) - 1:45pm - 2:30pm

KinderGym 0-5yrs, Tuesday (structured class with parent) - 9:45am - 10:30am 
KinderGym 0-5yrs, Wednesday (structured class with parent) 10:30am - 11:15am

KinderGym Advanced 4-5yrs, Tuesday (structured class without parent) - 10:30am - 11:15am
KinderGym Advanced 4-5yrs, Wednesday (structured class without parent) - 9:45am - 10:30am


GymFun

GymFun is designed for children 5-7 years to focus on the importance of fundamental movement patterns that will assist in your child’s development. Your child will progress from the basic skills, to more advanced skill and activities, all while maintaining the fun element and encouraging children to get involved and continue to learn.
GymSkills has been specifically designed for children aged 8-12 years old.The program is focused on engaging children in an enjoyable skill-based recreational gymnastics program, where they will further develop their movement skills while also improving their fitness base.

Tumbling

This program would be a progression from GymFun or GymSkills It is generally more structured and allows children to concentrate more on their tumbling skills. They mainly use Tumble Track, Floor Double-Mini Tramp and Single Mini-Tramps

This class is ideal if you want to focus more on improving skills such as; Cartwheels, Handsprings, and Flips but you won't learn bars or beam skills.

Tumbling Tuesday 5:00 - 6.00pm
Tumbling Wednesday 4:00 - 5:00pm

Tumbling Advanced, Tuesday (minimum requirement front or back flip) 6:00pm - 7:00pm
Tumbling Advanced, Wednesday (minimum requirement front or back flip) 4:00pm - 5:00pm

 


Competitive Gymnastics Programs

Womens Artistic Gymnastics 

The Australia wide levels system where the more serious gymnasts develop from a young age right up to their teen years. Gymnasts focus is more towards the competition, where many gymnasts will have goals of one day earning state or national representation.

This program includes will have the gymnast performing onVault, Bars, Beam and Floor apparatus. Strength, flexibility, balance and body awareness are contributing factors in the this program.

Foundation Levels 1-3 prep, Monday & Tuesday 4:00 - 5:30pm
Levels 3-6 Monday 4:30pm - 7:00pm & Wednesday 5:00 - 7:30pm

 


TeamGym 

TeamGym combines parts of tumbling, mini tramp and dance to create an exciting team competition event. You get to flip, roll,   jump and dance with your friends. 

The Australian TeamGym program has been developed for teams of gymnasts, with performances on  3 different apparatus.

Teams perform on the following apparatus:
- Floor
- Tumbling
- Vaulting / Mini trampoline

Tuesday (selective) 7:00-8:00pm
This is a selective class and attendees are by invitation only. Please notify us if you are interested.
 


FreeG

Designed to capture the excitement and fast pace of Ninja Warrior, this program gets your body moving in ways never thought possible. It will get your heart racing and develop a heightened sense of spatial awareness that can be put to good use in a variety of other sports (including. boarding, biking, skiing, climbing and surfing).

What child would not get a thrill out of jumping freely into the air? This class is ideal  for children wanting to burn off some energy in safe environment.

Accredited  coaches teach children to perform skills building their coordination, strength and body awareness.

Performance Gymnastics

Performance Gymnastics provides groups of gymnasts the opportunity to showcase their gymnastics skills using any style and combination of gymnastics and dance. Skills are artfully arranged together with music. To be eligible to enter a Performance Gymnastic class you must also attend another class where you can work on and learn new skills. “Performance” is not a class where skills are taught but rather a class where skills are put into performance routines. Acro and TeamGym are ideal classes to enhance your chances for selection into our “Performance Team”

Fitter for Life

Is a fun fundamental movement program for over 50's that aims to help you improve your mobility, balance, flexibility, strength, and coordination; the activities in our classes can be catered to you and your needs!

Also Improves:

Cardiovascular health – moderate intensity pulse raising activity is incorporated throughout the program

Weight control – maintenance and reduction of body fat levels through moderate intensity pulse raising activity.

Mental health - by stimulating the vestibular system helps to keep the brain alert and ready to take on new information, aiming to improve concentration and reduce the risk of dementia.

Classes are for all participants, including those less mobile. Activities can also undertake sitting in a chair or with to aid of a walker.

Come and meet some other like minded seniors who just want to have fun and keep mobile!
